Morris R. Heney

I’m a traveler, a storyteller, and most importantly, a husband who had the good fortune to accompany someone remarkable on life’s trip. I’ve listened to people’s experiences for decades as a retired social worker, but the one I had with Rina was the most significant. In addition to distances, we made memories as we strolled together through cobblestone streets, mountain trails, and peaceful cafés. My ode to love, tenacity, and the wonder of seeing the world together is Travels with Rina.

Morris R Heney is a retired college professor and social worker who dedicated his working years to enhance the quality of life of children and families in the New York City metropolitan area.

He now lives with his wife Rina in East Moriches, a small town on the south shore of Long Island. Morris is giving us a most enchanting narrative of his travels and adventures. What has been described as a love letter to Rina, his life partner, Morris is now providing us a new perception of the world in which we live.

The author excels now as a raconteur, a gifted storyteller who paints with his words, a canvas that reflects the intensity of our human experiences.
